The Role
What is a Care Companion?
A Care Companion provides calm, attentive presence during post-surgical recovery. You're not providing medical care—you're providing comfort, structure, and support during a time when clients have the least energy to manage details themselves.
Your role is to help clients feel safe, ensure their recovery environment is organised, coordinate practical needs, and escalate any concerns to the appropriate parties. You follow clear protocols while bringing warmth and professionalism to every interaction.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in caregiving, hospitality, wellness, or patient-facing roles
- Professional demeanour with excellent communication skills
- Comfort with overnight shifts and flexible scheduling
- Discretion and respect for client privacy
- Reliability and strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow protocols while adapting to individual needs
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Legal right to work in the United States

We operate throughout New York City—Manhattan, all five boroughs, and surrounding areas. Assignments take place at client hotels and homes.
Engagement Model
Care Companions join our roster as independent contractors. This is not an employment offer. Assignments are offered based on client needs, your availability, and role fit. You may accept or decline opportunities, and you control your schedule.
Compensation
Care Companions are engaged as independent contractors and are compensated per assignment based on coverage type, timing, and requirements. Rates and assignment details are shared in advance for acceptance. Payment terms and required documentation are provided during onboarding.
